Message from the President

Dear EHRS Members,
Dear Congress Participants,

On behalf of the board of the European Hair Research Society, I am very pleased to welcome you warmly to the annual meeting of the EHRS in Brussels.

Brussels is a historic place for the EHRS: in 1989 the EHRS was founded here in order to gather dermatologists and scientists exchanging their up-to-date knowledge on hair biology, hair growth regulation as well as on hair diseases. In 1995 the First Tricontinental Meeting was organised in Brussels and now, in 2002, we are back here to take part in the 9 th Annual Meeting of the EHRS.

During the past 12 years we have been able to follow many exciting developments and progresses in our understanding of hair biology, hair genetics and hair diseases, as well as in the development of new therapeutic approaches.

So, I am looking forward to a great meeting, wishing you many fruitful scientific exchanges, interesting communications and stimulating discussions.
