The EHRS launched a new annual award in 2008 for best basic research presentation at an Annual EHRS Meeting in honor of Prof. Jürgen Schweizer.

Prof. Jürgen Schweizer has made an enormous contribution to our field with his singular work on human hair follicle-associated keratins. The award, called the 'Jürgen Schweizer Research Presentation Award' is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from L'Oreal.
